Abe and Jake’s Landing
The year was 1870. Settlers were driving across Kansas, and needed barbed wire – a product that transformed agriculture and livestock management in the West. A barbed wire factory was built on the banks of the Kansas River in Lawrence.
Today, Abe and Jake’s landing is a beautiful event venue with beautiful hardwood floors, stages, hardwood and exposed wrought iron beams, and a balcony overlooking the Kansas River.
