Welcome to the first annual Encuentro De Los Peregrinos, in historic downtown Lawrence, Kansas – a shining star in the Midwest.

Michele Ellis Richards and Ravi K Bhaskar are proud to be hosting our first encuentro milonguero, with a wonderful selection of DJs from across the United States, including San Francisco, Boston, and Denver. Come and join us to see why a pilgrimage to our beautiful City will have you coming back every year!

Lawrence, Kansas is a 45 minute ride from Kansas City International Airport (MCI), easily accessible from any airport in the country, many with direct flights. There are transport companies that will carry 5 – 6 people from the airport to Lawrence. Once you are here, everything is within easy walking distance, no car needed!

Downtown Lawrence has over 50 restaurants within walking distance of the venue, with food ranging from cheap tasty eats from establishments that stay open late (as befits a college town) to gourmet restaurants.
